Ferries

Ferries operate hourly between Red Hook, St. Thomas, and Cruz Bay, St John. There is also a less frequent service between Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, and Cruz Bay, St. John. Virgin Islands Fast Ferry (340-719-0099) runs seasonal 75-minute ferry service between St. Croix and St. Thomas from November through early May. Car ferries go from Red Hook, St. Thomas, to Cruz Bay, St. John. Smith's Ferry (340-775-7292) and Native Son (340-774-8685) run regular ferries between Charlotte Amalie or Red Hook and Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. Road Town Fast Ferry (340-777-2800) runs a 50-minute service between Charlotte Amalie and Tortola. Proof of citizenship is required for entry into Tortola.
